Faith. Vision. Impact Three succinct, yet powerful words that epitomize the life of Lamont D. McLean. Known affectionately as Pastor Lamont, the native of Paulsboro, New Jersey invested his God-given 52 years on earth to yield a return few ever achieve in a lifetime.

Born the son of the late Linwood D. McLean and Sara McLean on April 24, 1955, Pastor Lamont emerged from humble beginnings and several disappointments imposed upon him by a speech impediment, to a life of influence that was surely greeted with "well done my good and faithful servant" on Saturday June 30, 2007.

As a child, young Lamont would dream of life as a professional athlete and was gifted as such, achieving some success in baseball, football, and martial arts. As a young adult his intelligence paved the way for a career in computer engineering. As a man, he imagined life as the ultimate husband and father when Connie, a co-worker at a company in Center City Philadelphia would grace his presence in 1977 and accept his hand in marriage on January 31, 1981. Out of this great union God blessed them with two daughters Alexis McLean and Erica McLean.

However it was not until his salvation in November of 1981 that he would discover the true pathway to his destiny when shortly thereafter he "saw" himself in Isaiah 32:4 "and the tongue of the stammerers shall ready to speak plainly." Upon further study, Lamont discovered his calling to pastor as he learned to "speak" plainly was to "preach" plainly. He would then not only read the Word from God, but literally hear a Word from God..."I am going to show you how to run My business by teaching you how to run your own business." This one word from God triggered a series of events including the creation of universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS), an international computer engineering firm, and the birth of Living Faith Christian Center-a reflection of the dual anointing of King and Priest that molded the life and ministry of Pastor Lamont D. McLean.

Armed with one-hundred dollars and faith in God, Lamont McLean the businessman would establish UTRS in May of 1985 alongside his partner and it grow into a multi-million dollar business with more than 150 employees.

In July of 1985 and with the same tenacity employed in business, Pastor Lamont would open doors to Living Faith Christian Center, a local church with a worldwide mission to reach the lost, strengthen families and raise up leaders that impact our communities and the world with the Word of God. Begun in the basement of his home while residing in Erial, New Jersey, the bible study of ten would grow to a congregation of more than 7,000 members and a myriad of ministries that have life-changing impact upon the region and the world.

A dynamic, compassionate and steadfast pastor and teacher, his inspiring and life-changing sermons have been circulated throughout the world through extensive repertoire of audio and visual teaching series, a Telly Award-winning television broadcast entitled "Faith Speaks" that aired on Fox 29 and numerous other local and national networks, and three books "Shepherding God's Way, "Living With Certainty in an Uncertain World" and "Missing Links to Victorious Living" which was re-released by Whitaker House Publishing in September 2007 under the title "Opening the Door to Your Future" following the demand of his first edition which sold-out.

In addition to the expansive growth attributed to his leadership at Living Faith Christian Center, Pastor Lamont was also responsible for the birth of Living Faith Christian Academy, a private Christian school founded in 2002 to provide children in grades K-12 with a nurturing environment to develop the spirit, mind and bodies of tomorrow's leaders.

Dr. Lamont was the recipient of numerous awards including the Small Business Administration (SBA) Award for Business Excellence and the 2007 NAACP Visionary Award. Vision International University in Ramona, CA conferred an honorary, post humus doctorate to Pastor Lamont D. McLean in June of 2007 for his life's work and contributions to the body of Christ.
